This project is just the latest chapter in an extraordinary story of exploration, mystery, ancient history and a mission to protect, through UNESCO World Heritage Status, a natural wonder in one of the most biodiverse regions in the world.
Following in the footsteps of her explorer father Stan Hall, a real-life Indiana Jones, Open Close Collective founder Eileen Hall will be organising the expedition along with Open Close co-founder and Creative Director Tamsin Cunningham. We are beyond grateful to be joined in this exploration by an incredible multi-disciplinary team including musician Jon Hopkins, neuroscientist Mendel Kaelen, photographers Eoin Carey and Kyle Kesterson, traditional musicians David and Carlos Villagomez and Danny Collazos and film-makers Galo Semblentes and Yessenia Urquizo Ramos.
This unusual expedition through the Amazon, and into the Tayos caves, will take place in August of 2018, and is being lead by Dr. Toulkeridis. He has been called on by David Attenborough, National Geographic, and more due to his expertise in this field, and it is an extreme honour to have him guiding this adventurous expedition and keeping everyone safe.
